LINGOs

Elluminate Inc., one of LINGOs’ principle technology partners, announced on July 7th that it has been acquired by learning software provider, Blackboard Inc.  The acquisition is part of a strategy that aims to enhance Blackboard’s capacity to integrate asynchronous courses, synchronous events and social learning on a single platform group which will be called Blackboard Collaborate.  

 

LINGOs spoke with Elluminate’s President on the day of the announcement, extending congratulations and expressing our continued appreciation for the support the company has provided.  While the new collaboration between Blackboard and Elluminate will result in a new Collaborate division, the Elluminate Live product will continue to be supported without change and the first priority will be sustaining the positive experience clients enjoy n the platform.  Elluminate has reaffirmed its commitment to the work of LINGOs member agencies and indicated that they do not anticipate any change in the current relationship between our organizations.
