At LINGOs we believe that through sharing learning resources and
experiences among many international NGOs, individual agencies can enhance
the impact of their work. To further this end, LINGOs works to
convene, facilitate and support a number of inter-agency communities that
are formed around priority topics such as project management.
By working together in communities of practice, NGOs:
- Enhance the quality of their work
- Leverage their combined resources, and
- Reduce the risks of replication of effort
LINGOs is currently facilitating 3 communities. Each community is
managed by a LINGOs staff person:
1. Agency Key Contacts, Managed by Marian Abernathy
2. Project Management (The NGO PMI), Managed by Mike Culligan
3. LMS Administrators, Managed by Robb Allen
LINGOs member staff and volunteers are invited and encouraged to actively
participate in LINGOs communities. They are designed to be places of
discussion and interaction. Community sites include discussion areas,
relevant documents, links, and other resources, lists of key contacts,
information about upcoming community events, and other opportunities to
participate.
For more information about the LINGOs communities, click on the links to the right. You will arrive at a landing page for each community that will provide overview information and access to the community itself. In order to enter each community, you first need to apply to become a member. Authorization to become a community member can be obtained from the community manager. The manager will provide you with a username and
password for the site(s), for which you will be prompted when you want to
enter the community.
Welcome to the LINGOs communities.
