Licensing:
Harvard Management courses are purchased on an annual basis in January. The special pricing we receive is based on a single purchase by LINGOs for all our members and all invoicing and paying managed by LINGOs (contact Eric Berg for the details). A minimum commitment is made in January. If an agency seeks additional licenses in mid year, they still pay the annual rate. This encourages agencies to plan ahead and minimizes the administration. All licenses run from January to December.
Each seat allows the user to take any and all of the Harvard courses (20). You can move seats among users so let's say you move the seat each quarter that would make the number of users up to 80 (times however many courses they took). So if you did move them quarterly and each person took one course a month while they had the seat, you would have had 80 people taking 3 courses or a total of 240 classes for an investment of $400.
Harvard will not allow us to distribute courses via the CDROM. These courses are only for the employees of our member agencies.
Harvard classes can only be offered to employees of member agencies.
Language: These courses are offered in both English and Spanish.
Note: If you browse through Harvard's courses then you will find a different set of courses. What's donated for this year are OLD courses. This means they work much better in a low bandwidth environment. We are talking to Harvard about how to offer both. This is why you will find that the competency maps DO not map to our courses. We have included them so you understand how they use competency maps.
Accessing them through your portal: Once you purchase your cousres, Dan (
dan@lingos.org ) will assist the LMS administrator into loading them into your portal. Then you can run your own reports on usage. You will need to determine the best way to approach ensuring you stay within the number of seats that you have purchased.
