How to install the Elluminate Publish application:One of the benefits of membership to LINGOs includes licenses to Elluminate Publish to members at the cost of $50 dollars. Each licenses is good for installation on 1 computer. To obtain a license key, contact licenses@lingos.org. In response, you will receive a license key and an invoice for payment. Once you receive a license key, you will need to download a copy of the application at http://www.elluminate.com/publish/info.jsp where you can also access support documentation.
The first time a computer runs Elluminate Publish! – the user will be required to input the license key to activate their installation on that computer. This license key is only good for installation on a single computer. When you activate your install, you will be asked to register the product, thereby providing Elluminate with contact information so that they can notify you when updated versions of Publish! are available. Elluminate will also provide you with technical information related to Publish!. There is a final and very important final reason why users must register - the Elluminate companies has paid for the use of copyrighted technologies that are essential to making the product work. Only registered users are covered by Elluminate’s licensing agreement with the patent holders.
Urgent Update to Publish!
Elluminate has recently released an updated version of Publish!. With the recent update to Java J2SE6, recordings converted to an Unplugged! format will not launch and this new version is meant to correct this issue. Elluminate recommends you uninstall your previous version and install this updated version.
Note: Before starting the process, ensure that you have access to your existing Elluminate Publish! license key. If you need us to resend this license key, please contact licenses@lingos.org You'll also need to notify the other users in your organization who have installed Publish! of this update and provide them the key if they need it.
Below are the steps to Uninstall Elluminate Publish! 1.0
1. For users on Windows:
i. Go to Add/Remove Programs and run the Publish! 1.0 uninstaller.
ii. Follow screen prompts
Or
iii. Run Publish! Uninstaller in the Elluminate Publish folder from your Start menu.
iv. Follow screen prompts
2. For users on a Mac
i. Navigate to the Elluminate /Publish!/ Installation folder using *Finder*
ii. Run the *Publish! Uninstaller* application.
iii. Follow screen prompts
2. Install Elluminate /Publish!/ 1.0. Go to http://www.elluminate.com/publish/info.jsp to obtain the latest version.
3. Register Elluminate Publish! Using your Elluminate Publish! license key.
